Is Marriage a Selfless or a Selfish Act of Love?

This morning get to do my jogging yoga alone again... This question pop in my mind.

Selfless Act: A man marry a woman cause he understand that there is no perfect woman n he see all the flaw in the woman he want to marry n love her enough to want to protect n shelter her this entire live. He is confident nobody can treat her better than him.

Selfish Act: A man marry a woman cause he think she is the perfect girl for him n want to reserve her to him only.

Of course in all marriage what need to come with it will be responsibility,  loyalty,  dependency and etc...

Think about this n map back what each relationship may meant n map to. One may get the answer n stay with much inner peace.
